Selecting a genre is important as it will determine the game world. Currently the two major successful genres are Medieval Fantasy and Sci-fi - World of Warcraft and EVE Onilne respectively are among the best in their genres. We had a long discussion and Medieval Fantasy won 2 votes to 1. Sigh! (Yeah, I voted for Sci-Fi).
Well, there's a lot to look forward to. While the client-server model is being coded, the artwork needs to be taken care of. A lot of brainstorming on the story line, game play, environments needs to be done. Getting right to it.
